Long story short, when I was 5 years old I almost drowned in the ocean.
I was playing on the beach, in a shallow area in the water. My mother lost track of me for a few moments and I fell into a hole underwater (I didn't see it, obviously) and I didn't know how to swim at the time. So I started to drown, swallowing water. I couldn't find a way out of the hole, nor could I swim up to the surfice. To 5 year old me, that hole felt like an asteroid crater and the water was very dark.
I tried to scream, but swallowed more water (stupid kid)... Then, suddenly, it felt like there was an uphill slope right in front of me. It seemed to me like it had just materialized under my feet, I just felt it under my feet... and then I walked out of the hole.
The memory of it never left me, so I thought, "what if I was listening to 'Let It Happen Here And Now' underwater, while drowning?" and decided to make that album.
That's why it's called "A Head Filled With Water".
